HMD Global, an affiliate of Nokia, has announced that Android 8.0 Oreo is now available for the Nokia 8. The new Nokia 6 is confirmed to be touted as Nokia 6 (2018) by Chinese certification site TENAA. On January 17th, we expect to see The Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 (2018) and the Nokia 9 unveiled. The 4G variant of Nokia 3310 phone will run on the Yun OS.
When it first came out in May this year, the new Nokia 3310 was limited by its 2G network to select regions in the UK. Reports say HMD Global could be launching as many as six Nokia smartphones in the coming months. The OS is a forked version of Android which offers Alibaba-powered cloud-based email and navigation features. However, it seems that the 3310 could be undergoing a complete "soul overhaul" with the 4G version of the 3310. With that we assume that the other two phones - Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 Plus may be scheduled for later half of the year. The Nokia 1 could come with an IPS LCD screen carrying a 720 x 1280 HD resolution.
However, despite the affordability and utility of the Nokia 3310, there are some questions to whether the reduced price is enough of a draw to warrant giving up some basic smartphone features. Also, it is listed with larger storage space than the previous Nokia 3310 models.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the Nokia Camera app has revealed two more smartphones which are expected to come alongside the Nokia 1. There's no doubt that there's a market for high-end flagships, and the majority of the people are becoming more and more reliant on a phone that can act as a pocket-sized computer, but for those of us who need a phone that just plain "works", The Nokia 3310 4G is an attractive option with a rapidly approaching release.
