While they will be making no deliveries for Valentine's Day, employees of the floral department of Food City, 2120 S. Roan St., will also be busy.

After one day, most flowers were still in good shape, minus a droopy red rose from FTD.

She added: 'As is the case with all florists, we have to adjust our prices during the Valentine's period, however we have been careful not to inflate the price which is representative of grade A+ roses'.
