A USA tourist in Japan murdered a girl he met on a dating app, chopped her up and scattered her body parts across the Japanese countryside, police have alleged.
Her family filed a missing persons report with the prefectural police, who discovered that the woman had entered a condo unit for minpaku private lodging services in Higashinari Ward, Osaka, together with a foreigner.

Police say he was seen carrying a large bag out of the building where he was staying.
They believe that all belong to the same woman, described as a 27-year-old company employee from Sanda, in Hyogo prefecture, 25 miles from Osaka.
Surveillance camera footage showed her entering the building with him but never leaving, local media said.
