In one of the latest firmware updates, Sony sends out one to the PlayStation 4 and it brings some features that add to the overall user experience. This new feature can be found in the Options menu while scrolling through your Library collection. If you're a parent, the new Play Time Management feature within Family Management will allow you to control when and how long each child can play. The parent/guardian can apply restrictions on a set amount of time or within certain time periods (say after school to bedtime). The children who are playing on the console are warned when their play session is nearly over, allowing them to find a save point or safe logout point before running out of time. You can now add custom wallpapers to your PC via a USB stick, for example, and even manage play time for children (or overly addicted Monster Hunter World players).
The PS4 firmware update is very 5.50 and will include features like being able to control music volume from the Quick Menu. Clicking on your name/avatar will list all applications that were purchased using your PSN ID.
Library Organization - For those with large libraries of games and apps, navigating has become much easier. PlayStation Plus will now appear in the library to help keep track of free games. A tab with the name/avatar of the now logged in profile will show the games and apps that are owned by that specific person, even if they aren't installed. It's a simple as pressing the Options button on the highlighted game and selecting the option to hide the game.
According to Sony, the new software will "improve image quality in some games when your PS4 Pro is connected to a TV with 2K resolution or lower".
