Rain chances do move back into the area Monday and certainly early Tuesday with limited sunshine to start our work week.

Saturday: Starts dry - Chance for rain showers later in the day. This will quickly transition over to snow overnight. Accumulating snow anywhere below 3,000 feet is pretty unusual, downright rare in the 900-1,200 foot levels of the lower parts of the Roanoke Valley, and even more so in the yet lower Piedmont east of the Blue Ridge. Other county roads may experience flooding at times due to high water.
