We've seen this design in a handful of renders before, and today KillerFeatures has leaked a new set of images of Moto's upcoming G6 and G6 Play. Under the hood, the Moto G6 could be powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 64GB onboard storage.
Considering the specifications, the Moto G6 has a high-resolution FHD+ display, dual camera and a forward facing fingerprint sensor. Now, as far as its design is concerned, chances are it will resemble its siblings quite a bit, and it may even look identical to the Moto G6.
In the photography department, dual cameras are expected at the back, out of which one will likely be a 12-megapixel primary sensor, and other could be a 5-megapixel sensor. For the front-facing camera, the phone has a 16MP sensor with probable support for Face Unlock. All three Moto G6-branded handsets are expected to arrive in the near future, though we're still not sure when will that happen, as the Moto G5-series arrived back in February last year, over a year ago.
It's still unclear when the Moto G6 family is going to debut, but it's ramping up to be another solid offering. Recently, the Moto Z3 Play was leaked by a case maker. As per the report, the Moto G6 Play could carry a price tag of $199, which is roughly Rs 13,000 in INR, while the Moto G6 could be priced at $249, that's around Rs 16,000.
The Moto G6 Play has the same screen size (5.7-inch) and 18:9 IPS display but with a lower 1440 × 720 HD+ resolution, 2GB or 3GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB storage, 12MP + 13MP rear cam with LED flash, 5MP selfie shooter, and a bigger 4000mAh battery with fast charging. According to a new report on KillerFeatures the cheapest smartphone in the G6 lineup will feature a 5.7-inch HD Plus display termed as "Mas Vision" with a resolution of 720X1,440 pixels. However, instead of stock Android, the Moto G6 Play comes with Lenovo's custom ZUK skin. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Moto G6's selective focus feature will essentially let users background or foreground in images. The smartphone will come with a 1.4 Ghz processor, expected to be an older Snapdragon 430 SoC. Sadly, there is no mention of all the cool features of the Moto G6 like live filters, object and landmark recognition, portrait mode, and active photos. It also has a FM radio, Dolby Audio, and a MicroSD card slot. The phone was launched at a price of 17,000 Rupees in India.
