Bethesda posted a Rage 2 teaser trailer (viewed at the top of the page) that gives us a glimpse at the Mad Max-style characters screaming, lifting weights, shooting and driving while plumes of neon smoke explode in the background. Players assume the role of Walker, the last Ranger of the dystopian wasteland left behind and the only threat to the Authority's power.
Since Rage 2's listing appeared on Walmart Canada, Bethesda revived the title's official Twitter account to address the leak. One other really interesting thing about RAGE 2 is its vehicle selection: according to the company's press release, if you see it you can drive it (and consequently use it as an implement of total havoc). The gameplay reveal was due tomorrow and Betehsda Softworks has finally shared the gameplay footage for RAGE 2. After all, the original game was an open-world post-apocalypse shooter with heavy emphasis on driving around a world gone mad.
We do, however, have a few details about the game revealed by the games own section on the Bethesda website.
Unlike before, the official gameplay trailer was not leaked, and it came just at the right time. Perhaps a smart move considering the number of massive games out towards the end of the year such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2. You can see a sand-covered desert promising a little open-world fun, along with a jungle location and a big mix of monsters and maniacs.
Equipped with unique guns and gear, you'll need every one of your weapons and all of your skills to defend your home - even if it is a merciless wasteland. Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines tweeted that this year's E3 showcase "m$3 ight be our longest E3 Showcase ever", so expect Rage 2 to play a major role in the presentation.
