Chelsea are close to completing a €65 million (£57.5m) combined deal to appoint Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach and sign Italy global midfielder Jorginho, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis said.
Conte took training when some of the Chelsea squad returned for pre-season this week but has always been expected to be replaced this summer.
However, the players are unaware of the situation and are faced with waiting until Monday to see who will be running their session.
Sarri, meanwhile, has given a list of his own preferred targets to Chelsea.

They finished second twice in three campaigns and last season took champions Juve down to the final weeks, only to fall away after a 3-0 collapse at Fiorentina at the end of April.
Chelsea have yet to sign a player this summer transfer window, but it is thought that once the regime change is done, a few transfers will follow.
However, Luiz missed the World Cup after an indifferent season with Chelsea, and he featured just 10 times in the Premier League last season as his relationship with Conte first becoming strained, before completely breaking down.
