In order to celebrate Fortnite's first anniversary, Epic Games is giving players the chance to grab the World Founder's Packs at 50% off until July 30. It's a cartoonish, last-character-standing, fight-to-the-death battle royale where players thrash one another in a struggle for weapons, resources and survival on a shrinking, storm-ravaged island.
You'll also be able to eat cake in-game for +5 health and +5 shield boosts, because why not?
After a few weeks of improving the mode, Epic Games is finally bringing it back on July 25. If it feels like the Save the World mode is getting a little more love than the Battle Royale mode, that's because this birthday is a celebration of when the game's Save the World mode launched.
As part of this week's update Epic Games seems to have added a new mini-game in the shape of clay-pigeon shooting (or Skeet Shooter).
Completing the birthday questline in Fortnite Save the World will give players the Birthday Brigade Ramirez Hero.
Similar to the weekly challenges, three birthday challenges will be presented, each with their own reward for completing the task required.
Epic Games will be releasing the full list of changes for the new Playground mode this week in the 5.10 patch notes so fans can look out for that. Although the game is now up and running for many players, unfortunately many are reporting that although they can log in to Fortnite and play normally, the birthday challenges aren't working for them.
You'll find the first Fortnite Birthday Cake in the north of Paradise Palms, just north of the town's border, just to the right of the road that runs through the center, on the sand.
The SMG's official description reads: "Epic and Legendary rarity SMG that exceles [sic] at close quarters combat". Let us know if you are in on the birthday challenge.
