But, as always, Smash Bros. is expected to steal the show, which is why Nintendo is dedicating an entire Direct live stream to the game on August 8th at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. "Ultimate" as Echo fighters.
Echo Fighters: Richter Belmont wasn't the only Echo Fighter revealed - we're also getting Chrom from the Fire Emblem series (an echo of Roy) and Dark Samus (I think you can guess who she's an echo of).
Technically, Richter Belmont is an Echo Fighter of Simon Belmont - a new classification introduced in Super Smash Bros. She floats a little, and has an amazingly detailed skin. We added the recently announced Simon Belmont, King K. Rool, and more!
Speaking of earworms, the only thing more stacked than the stage selection is the game's soundtrack.
In addition to playable characters, Sakurai detailed information on new stages, assist trophies, items, and game modes. N64 stages will look true to their original form.

The leak came about from what seems to be a mix-up with the naming of music files on the official Smash Bros.
"Items" is ready to show you its wears as well - now featuring a small sampling of the weapons, tools, pickups, and more that can make your fights as insane and varied as can be. Here, players can pick from a 5-on-5 or 3-on-3 elimination battle. Smashdown allows you to only select the same fighter once as the battles progress.
▲ The new training mode shows grids and indicators that predict an opponents launch distance ▲ The bottom left was purposefully blurred out. If it's significant enough to merit its own spot on the main menu screen, just below "Smash", it must be a big deal.
A new item is the banana gun, which looks like a normal banana, except that it can shoot one powerful bullet. Alolan Exeggutor is absolutely ridiculously tall, separating the stage with its body. This includes Sonic's pal Knuckles the Echidna, Zero from Mega Man X, Metal Gear Solid's Gray Fox, Shovel Knight, Krystal the fox from Star Fox Adventures, and most notably, the dragon Rathalos from the Monster Hunter series. Kappin from the Animal Crossing series takes players on a ride on his bus off-stage. Some of the new Assist Trophies that are joining Super Smash Bros.
