Upon arrival in Nairobi, Kenya, Mrs Trump is expected to visit State House as her first stop.
Mrs. Trump, leading her "BE BEST" campaign is partnering with USAID to undertake a series of events in her host countries - Ghana, Malawi, Egypt and Kenya.
She's focusing the trip on her interest in child welfare.
On her second stop visiting Malawi, she toured the Chipala Primary School in Lilongwe.
Her first solo foreign trip as first lady will take her to four African countries. Numerous students must sit outside in crowds around their teacher.
She visited the school to highlight the benefits of a USAID scheme to support African education, which has seen the U.S. distribute 9.6million books to schools across Malawi.
"I am very proud to see the first lady", high school student Sharon Sibo told AFP after being among a group of welcoming pupils at the airport. With a smile on her face, the first lady read along with children during their lessons. The first lady thanked educators for helping the children "be best" throughout their school experience.
"I was heartened to spend time with the students and was honoured to donate school supplies and soccer balls".
"Thank you for having me here and thank you for a handsome warm welcome", Trump told her hosts, adding that she wanted to be in Malawi to see the success of American programs here.
"Mrs Trump will then head to State House for talks and later to the Kenya National Theatre where they will be treated to Kenyan Creative Cultural Performances", it said.
And two other white people had a "welcome to Malawi # notashithole!" sign.
