Google built a platform for smart displays and then didn't use it in the Home Hub. You can watch subscription Prime Video and "video Flash Briefings from Sky News Australia, Fox Sports and more". The cheapest third-party Google smart display is Lenovo's 8-inch model at $200, but the Google Home Hub is undercutting this device by fifty bucks.

Amazon's device has excellent speakers with booming bass - I could feel the table under it vibrating as it played music, and I would definitely use it at a party.
The Home Hub has been initially launched in the USA priced $149 and the announcement coincides with Google revealing an updated version of its Pixel handset. The Google Home Hub is a fantastic addition to the Google Home family and I don't know why it took until now to show up, but I can confidently say this going to be a consumer favorite when it launches soon for only $149.
The $149 device is available for pre-order online from the Google store, and will go on sale at Best Buy, Target, Walmart and other retailers starting on October 22. That will undoubtedly change next week when the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are released, but can a single-lens camera really outperform the dual- and triple-lens cameras on other recent flagship smartphones?
